Moved Out & Moved In
Assalaamu Alaikum :)
I've been meaning to write a post but my computer hasn't been hooked up yet. I guess I will have to add the pictures in later!
It's done. I have officially moved out of the house I lived in for 20 years of my life. It's strange, I'll tell ya that. I'm adjusting better than I had expected but it just feels as if I'm staying here only temporarily .... okay wait, technically that is true but what I meant was ... it feels like I am eventually going to back to my old house to live in. It doesn't feel like I have left it for good. Maybe because I can still visit whenever I want and look at those empty rooms we left behind but a day will come when I will not be able to see it again. That, makes me really sad.
My new house is beautiful ... I really like it. My bedroom is slowly starting to become my new sanctuary. There are *a lot* of boxes that still need organizing but that will be done in time, insha'Allah. I fear that by the time I organize and set up my bedroom ... it will be time to start packing again :S haha
My first night in the house: uncomfortable. Maybe because I was not used to sleeping in a bigger bed or the mattress was nothing like my old daybed ... I couldn't get a good night's sleep. Oh and when I woke up for Fajr! I can't tell you how scared I was to walk in that big house at night with the lights closed, eeh! The bathroom is a bit further away from my bedroom and I have to walk by something that is like a balcony which looks down on the main floor. Too many shadows :S I do not like shadows :( But I managed to get to the bathroom, perform wu'dhu (ablution) and pray Fajr salaat, alhamdulillah.
Remember that phone I was desperately looking for? Well ...... I found it! Yay! It's beautiful ... I'm in love with it. I found out it is called a Princess Telephone too, awww! I'm a princess! *bats eyelashes* ... *everyone else rolls their eyes*
I just need to get used to everything and adjust to my new surroundings. I already seem to have familiar neighbors which was a nice surprise. One of the students at the school I taught lives a house away from me :) awww.
I'm looking forward to the nice memories I will begin in this new house of ours. I have already dubbed Friday's to be my Baking Day ;) May Allah Swt make the new memories to be pleasant and sweet, insha'Allah!
