Umm ... eww.
Assalaamu Alaikum :D
How's everyone doing? Hope you are all enjoying the holidays! In a matter of few days, we'll be in 2006 insha'Allah! May this coming year bring happiness to each and every one of us.
Okay I'm getting a bit annoyed. As I'm sure my brother is too. It turns out that we can no longer hang out in public anymore. Why, you ask? Because people think we're married. Can I get an "eww" please? *waits* ... Thank you. It's just getting more funnier these days. It really amuses me that people will just jump straight to that conclusion. If we happen to go out to pick some food for the family ... the workers will think we're married. If he tags along with me somewhere, people will assume the same thing. I went to the bank today and my brother had to come along as well ... the teller thought we were newly weds. HAHA ugh. But, she said that each of us were cute so we felt special teehehe She told us her reason for thinking that was because we looked a like. Umm ... so wouldn't you think we're related instead? It was just too silly!
I don't know why I'm sharing this with the world. I felt like it :) So, sorry brother dear ... no more quality sibling time.

*shudders*
yeah, similar things happen to us sometimes.
people say my sister is my mom, or that I'm my sister's father, or that my mom and sister are siblings.
Here's something more awkward -- People think I'm married by assuming my sister is my child .. it's funny but I also am getting tired of saying 'no it's my sister' .. other times, they assume I'm her uncle!?! :(
inshallah, have a good year+life to come :)
Umar:
You're probably shuddering at my font *sigh* ... yea I used to get that with my sister, everyone would think she was our mum, weirdos.
Elysium:
No way! awww but your sis is real cute masha'Allah. And I noticed that she was trying to help you out at the booth awwww btw, your pictures are amazing! G'job :)
ok this is worse than people saying I look like my little sisters khala :s heh
But how do they react once you tell them you guys are siblings?
Eww!
LOL
that was funny!
people always mistake my sisters for older than me even though I'm the oldest... but yours is worse! luckily my brother is only 10 :D
Assalam-oAlaikum!
haha...I've never heard of any such thing happening to any of my cousins!!
Usually, I'm mistaken to be the smallest of my family. But, I like that:P
Mayya:
Their reaction? haha total embarassment!
Aaliya:
haha Yea ... I look younger than my brother, even though I'm older than him. So that doesn't really help my situation :S
Cookie:
Walaikum assalaam! hehe it is good to be known as younger than your age ;) Thanks for visiting!
Kababo:
Good idea :D
Lolz
Oh that's just wrong. Now I know why my brother doesn't talk to me in public and doesn't like being seen with me =\.
Aaliya:
That just means that when your brother becomes 20 years old or something, people will mistake YOU as his mother. ;)
Squeeky:
A friend of mine recently told me that because of the 15-year age difference between his parents, his father and mother get mistaken for being father and daughter instead. The funny thing is that people would approach my friend's father and ask if his "daughter" was available to get married and he'd actually play along... :)
Weebzie:
Aww so nice to see you here! And that is probably why your brother stays away from you in public, or he just doesn't like you :P kidding! So you and Umar are in the same program?! That's pretty cool
Nauman:
Aww that's kinda cute! Reminds me of my cousin's dad. He looks quite old so people would think that he is my cousin's grandfather instead of father :S And my cousin's older brother, he looks older than his age too so if he's out with his mom, people will think that his mom is his wife ... terrible haha
My mother and I used to get confused for brother and sister at one point... thank god that phase is over and hopefully people will see me as being her son and not anything else. :)
That reminds me of people who think all fat women are actually pregnant women.
"Oh! How nice, when are you due?"
"Excuse me?"
"You know, your baby. When are you due?"
"Umm I'm not pregnant!"
"Oh."
In that case, and in this one, people should seriously mind their own business.
Oh, by the way, you haven't updated your blog since last year. Sorry.
Assalam Alaykum..
Aww haha yeah that happens with us too. And we're five sisters Mashallah..and we all look like we're the same age, when we take our brother along they think we're his friends or something. Hahaha and he being a guy, get's all happy. Lol..
takecare,
w'salam. :)
