Facing Reality .... with treats :)
Assalaamu Alaikum :D
Oh how I've missed you all, and my blog. I pray you are all doing well by the grace of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. I haven't had a very pleasant couple of months unfortunately and the things that happened, and the decisions that were made, were very difficult to endure. But something happened last night ... which also was not pleasant to endure but it happened, and now I clearly see ... that the decision that was made was actually done by the will of Allah Swt. I have never felt so sure about something in my life and now, I can see things peacefully because "everything happens for a reason" and I understand now why things happened the way they did. Allah Swt saved me from something and I am so grateful to Him (swt) for sending me just the guidance that I needed. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil 'Alameen. It's just very unfortunate that things had to end up this way ...
Anyways! I'm not going to let anything interfere in my life ... I need to live it in such a way where Allah Swt will always be pleased with me, insha'Allah. So I finally went into the kitchen after a really long time haha had to spread some barakah :D

I was so scared that it wouldn't taste right because this recipe was targeted for 9 dozen cookies! But alhamdulillah ... it tastes just like Mrs Field's Cookies *mmm* I shall update later for other things insha'Allah, until then ... take care

Yay you're back :D
Sometimes decisions are really tough to make and sometimes we can't see the wisdom behind things that happen to us until we reflect on them later on. You'll come to see that everything will turn out for the better, InshaAllah. Just remember that Allah (swt) is the most Merciful, and you can always turn back to Him when you need Him (which is all the time :).
And as always, your pictures of food are lovely. Mmmm I could have a Mrs. Field's cookie right about now. You know, I like going to the Mrs. Field's shop at The Eaton Centre and just looking at all the stuff for fun. But then the people behind the counter get ticked off because I don't buy anything.
BeismiAllah
Naam bhi thera aqeedat se liye jaata hoon
Har qadam par thujhe sajde bhi kiye jaata hoon
Sabr karna hai their Shaan-e-Azimi ko aziz
Main yahee soch ke aansoon bhi piye jaata hoon
Life is like a box of chocolates...err in this case some Mrs. Field's Cookies!! (made with dark choc mumkin?) Glad to see your back to your bloggin and feeling better insha'Allah.
Often times we have our issues and difficulties in life. But if we pause and look at the blessings of Allah(SWA).. we realize life is still good. We are breathing, eating, living, seeing the beauties of this world. We should all pray to Allah(SWA) for sabr and strength to rise above the sorrows. Often times we don't understand why we are going through such hard tests in life, and while the outcomes of these ordeals may not be what we had wanted or wished for, with time we realize that ALlah(SWA) was blessing us with His mercy and protecting us from something that was not good for us.. Allah(SWA) does not burden us with more than we can handle, it is we who see it so. Is it not best for us to keep moving on? When we have been hurt, to forgive, when we are in grief, to smile, when we are down, to look up, when have fallen to get back up again.
wa'Allahi innAllah ma'a sabiroon. May Allah(SWA) always bless and guide you, through hard times and easy ones as well. Ameen.
Welcome back Squeeky! I missed your writing and your pictures of all the yummy stuff you make :D Those cookies look sooooo good, and even though I can't have any, my mouth is still watering (which is kinda nasty cause I have bloody bandages in there). But yum!
I hope your days are getting better now and that you're live happily and peacefully (and keep baking!), you're right everything does happen for a reason and sometimes it's hard to accept those reasons but like you said, Allah knows what's best for you.
I'm happy that you're back :D
Welcome back - the blogging world missed you too.
Sometimes, we're tested in ways that we may not understand - the key of course is to do what we must to pass each test successfully.
